  • Dr. Kevin Woods

    Dr. Woods served as Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, a Staff Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, DC. While there he was awarded the distinction of Master Clinician.

  • Dr. Lance Sullenberger

    Dr. Sullenberger served 11 years on active duty service as Major at Walter Reed as a staff cardiologist, where he received several awards for his teaching of residents and fellows.

  • James Savaria Jr., CMA

    James served as a Petty Office 1st Class for 15 years in the US Navy. He spent most of his career on board submarines cooking for the crew. He earned several commendations and awards.

More than 2.5 million businesses in the U.S. are majority-owned by veterans. As part of a broader effort to use technology to help the veteran community, Google began identifying local businesses as “Veteran-Led” on Google Search and Maps in late August of 2018. Capital Cardiology Associates received this attribute in September of 2018.

Our Enhanced Cardiac Access Suite, located on the 4th floor of our Corporate Woods location, is Veteran-Led by Drs. Lance Sullenberger and Kevin Woods. We thank them for their service to our country. We salute the care and leadership they provide to our patients and staff – every day!
