Beth Richey, MS, RDN
Beth Richey is a registered dietitian specializing in cardiometabolic care, with a background that spans clinical nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and culinary education.
Her path into dietetics was shaped by a single vision: combining culinary skill with nutrition science to drive better patient outcomes. She earned her professional culinary certificate from The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in 2004 and her Master's degree from Framingham State University in 2010.
Beth spent seven years providing nutritional support for hospitalized patients across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. Her final hospital role — in the cardiothoracic surgical units at Roanoke Memorial Hospital — is where her focus on cardiometabolic care took root.
In 2017, she left the hospital to open a private practice in Blacksburg, Virginia, where she spent eight years offering individual nutrition counseling and group cooking instruction. That work allowed her to integrate her clinical training and culinary background in ways that put clients in the driver's seat of their own health.
At the end of 2025, Beth closed her practice and returned to the Capital Region with her husband and two children. She joins the Capital Cardiology Associates team eager to bring her full range of experience back to the cardiometabolic patients she's most passionate about serving.
