Enhancing Patient Care Through Coordinated Inpatient Services
At Capital Cardiology Associates, we are always re-evaluating how we can deliver the gold standard of cardiac care to our patients. As part of this ongoing commitment, we are making changes to how and where we provide certain inpatient services.
Beginning January 1, 2026, Capital Cardiology Associates will transition our routine inpatient cardiology services from Samaritan Hospital to Albany Medical Center (AMC) and St. Peter’s Hospital (SPH), where we have a larger, more coordinated presence. By consolidating our inpatient care at these hospitals, we can provide more consistent, comprehensive services with the full strength of our team and resources.
We want to reassure you of the following:
Burdett Office
Our Burdett Avenue office in Troy will remain open. There are no plans to close this location. We will continue to provide patient care and services at Burdett, and we are actively working to establish a walk-in Enhanced Cardiac Access clinic to greatly reduce wait times and provide quicker access to our providers.
Care at Samaritan Hospital
Our physicians will continue to perform outpatient cardiac catheterizations at Samaritan Hospital. However, emergency catheterizations and routine inpatient cardiology services will be transitioned to Albany Medical Center and St. Peter’s Hospital beginning January 1, 2026.
Inpatient Care
Routine hospital admissions for inpatient cardiology services will now be directed to Albany Medical Center or St. Peter’s Hospital, where our expanded resources and team presence are best positioned to support you.
Outpatient Care
Your outpatient visits, imaging, and procedures with Capital Cardiology Associates remain unchanged. You will continue to see your provider as usual at our offices. These changes are designed to make it easier for you to access high-quality, coordinated care with the full strength of our team behind you. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 518-292-6000.
