Dr. Rafael Papaleo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the Interamerican University in San Juan, Puerto Rico and completed Medical School at San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in 1991. He finished his Internal Medicine Residency in 1995 at Crozer Chester Medical Center and Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Papaleo completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Albany Medical Center Hospital in 1999. He completed an additional Fellowship in Invasive Cardiology at Albany Medical Center Hospital 2000 where he performed more than 2,500 cardiac catheterizations.
Dr. Papaleo is on staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany Memorial Hospital in Albany, NY and St. Mary’s Hospital and Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. He is currently Medical Director of the Rensselaer Region Heart Institute, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Services.
