Dr. Nathaniel Steiger is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Internal Medicine, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He earned both his biomedical engineering degree and medical degree from Boston University, graduating magna cum laude. He went on to complete his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society.

Dr. Steiger completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, followed by a fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where he served as Chief Electrophysiology Fellow. After training, he joined Brigham and Women’s Hospital as an Associate Physician and held a faculty appointment as Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

His clinical expertise includes catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), and ventricular tachycardia. He also implants and manages a wide range of cardiac devices, including pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices, leadless pacemakers, and left atrial appendage closure devices such as the Watchman.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Steiger has published extensively in leading cardiology and electrophysiology journals and has been invited to speak nationally on advances in ablation science. His research focuses on improving the safety and effectiveness of catheter ablation through a deeper understanding of ablation biophysics.

Dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care, Dr. Steiger works closely with each individual to create treatment plans tailored to their needs and goals. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife, also a cardiologist, and their two young sons.
