Dr. Hasan Atalay attended Columbia University in New York City where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979. He received his Medical Degree at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, in 1983. Dr. Atalay went on to complete his Internship and Medical Residency at Albany Medical Center in 1986. He then completed his Fellowship in Cardiology at Albany Medical Center in 1988.
Dr. Atalay is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Member of the American College of Physicians. He is on staff at St. Peter’s Hospital and Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY as well as St. Mary’s Hospital and Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. He currently is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Albany Medical College and immediate past president of Albany Medical Center Hospital Medical Staff.
Dr. Atalay’s cardiology specialities include general cardiovascular disease with a special interest in congestive heart failure, ischemic heart disease, lipid disorders, and valvular heart disease.
