Dr. Bliss Chang, an Alabama native, graduated at the top of his class from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2015 before spending a year in Germany as a Fulbright Scholar. He earned his MD from Harvard Medical School in 2020, completed his Internal Medicine residency at Columbia University Irving Medical Center / NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in 2023, and finished his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in 2026.

Dr. Chang is board-certified in Cardiovascular Medicine, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (CT), Nuclear Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. He is on staff at Albany Medical Center. His clinical interests include general cardiovascular medicine, cardiac critical care, and preventive cardiology.

Dr. Chang believes that exceptional care means individualized care and looking beyond the present. By thoughtfully de-escalating unnecessary medications, spending ample time educating patients, and carefully considering each patient's needs and preferences, he provides the highest quality care today while protecting patients' long-term health.

An accomplished medical educator, Dr. Chang has authored three textbooks, including Mistake-Based Learning in Cardiology with Elsevier, which emphasizes teaching "what not to do"—an aspect of medical education that has traditionally been overlooked. He earned a Master of Education from the University of Pennsylvania in 2025.

Dr. Chang is married to his wonderful wife, Michi. Outside of medicine, Dr. Chang enjoys traveling in search of the world's most spectacular foods and views. He has visited all seven continents and flown over one million miles on his favorite airline, Delta.
