Murph 2024
Albany, NY – May 27, 2024 – On a Memorial Day morning, the Capital Cardiology Associates team and their families gathered at Retro Fitness in Colonie to participate in the annual Murph Challenge. This event, held in honor of Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who sacrificed his life in Afghanistan, brings communities together to test their physical endurance and pay tribute to the men and women of the armed forces.
The Murph Challenge is not for the faint of heart. The workout consists of a 1-mile run, followed by 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and another 1-mile run, all while wearing a 20-pound vest or body armor. It's a grueling test of physical fitness and mental fortitude, symbolizing the incredible bravery and resilience of Lieutenant Murphy and all service members.
For the team at Capital Cardiology Associates, participating in the Murph Challenge is about more than just physical fitness. It’s an opportunity to come together as a community, support each other, and honor those who have given their lives in service to the country.
Sincere thanks to Retro Fitness for hosting our event.
