A Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) procedure, also known as CTO angioplasty or CTO intervention, is a medical procedure used to treat a complete blockage or occlusion of a coronary artery or blood vessel that has been present for an extended period, typically for more than three months. This condition can lead to reduced blood flow to the heart muscle, potentially causing angina (chest pain), heart attacks, or other cardiac problems. CTO procedures are complex and require a high level of expertise.
