Capital Cardiology's Dr. Krzysztof Drzymalski Achieves a Milestone in Coronary Care

Capital Cardiology Associates is proud to announce a significant achievement in interventional cardiology. Dr. Krzysztof Drzymalski, MD, FACC, FSCAl, successfully performed the first laser coronary case at Albany Medical Center using the groundbreaking Philips Laser System-Nexcimer.

This advanced laser technology was used to treat a condition called in-stent restenosis, which occurs when a previously treated artery becomes narrowed again. The laser works by removing built-up tissue inside the artery, helping to restore normal blood flow.
